America’s Got Talent has shared another early release audition for Tuesday’s new episode of Season 19, featuring a Korean magician named Young Min. His performance included some amazing manipulation of sand that wowed the judges.

Amazing Sand Magic in AGT Early Release Audition

Min started his audition kneeling in a circle of sand while wearing an all-black outfit. He lifted some of the sand in his hands and turned it into a wand, which soon turned back into sand. After that, he magically changed the direction of the sand falling from his hand.

For his final trick, Min pulled a metal ring out of thin air and caused it to disintegrate into glittery powder, which covered his clothes and face. The dramatic performance earned a standing ovation from two of the judges — Howie Mandel and Heidi Klum.

Sofia Vergara called the performance “mesmerizing,” telling Min, “You have created something unique.” Klum agreed, calling it “beautiful to watch.” Mandel said he had never seen anything like Min’s performance, predicting that he could go far in the competition.

Simon Cowell Wasn’t as Impressed

Three of the judges were clearly wowed by Min’s audition, but Simon Cowell had a differing opinion. He said that he “wasn’t mesmerized,” adding that he “thought something huge was gonna happen at the end.” The audience booed him, and the rest of the panel was shocked.

“However, I’m gonna err on the side of positive. So I’m gonna say yes,” Cowell told Min after sharing his disappointment. His fellow judges also voted “yes” to sending Min through.

What did you think of Min’s performance? Do you agree with Cowell that something bigger should have happened at the end? Let us know in the comments below, and tune in to the new episode of AGT Season 19 on Tuesday night at 8/7c on NBC.
